Dear Family:
The world has become a real powder keg with the war in Iraq, the war against terror, the war against drugs and the war against poverty. All of these conflicts lead to tension and division
locally, nationally and internationally. All point to the need for "A NEW WORLD ORDER."
With all the technology today and its daily evolution the world is rapidly becoming smaller and smaller. Population is growing
and gobbling up available habitable land. The high cost of fuel and
equipment is placing greater and greater strains on the world food
supply. Slowly but surely the United States is becoming more and more
dependent on other countries for goods and services to supply our
desires for necessities as well as luxuries. The high cost of producing
goods and services in the United States is driving us to look at cheaper markets outside our borders. At the same time
people from other countries desiring to enjoy the wealth we are
perceived to have must come to this
country and supply goods and services to us. Unfortunately, there are limits to the number of immigrants we can absorb.
The European union is one of the first steps in forming a new financial and trade union in Europe. The need to have all countries competing worldwide will require new thinking by
non-democratic governments around the world.
The greatest problem with worldwide trade is the desire of the rich and powerful rulers in some countries.
They do not want to share the power and wealth their countries receive with their
own people. Add this to the desire of those who seek to gain wealth and power through the sale of drugs, sex and crime and suddenly we have a melting pot.
It is my belief that there is a need for a new world order. The new world order I envision is far different from the one many others see.
I believe God started the new world order when he told Noah to build the ark. I believe everything He has done since that day is designed to bring the world to a knowledge of Him. I
believe that He is the only true God. I believe the only way for this world to survive the tensions we see today is for the Christians of this world to come back into fellowship with God and begin to seek to glorify Him in all they do.
This country was founded on Christian principles. When these principles are demonstrated to the world, most are drawn to the Christian way of life. Our goal should be one of evangelizing the
world and converting the masses to Christianity. When the majority of countries are converted to Christianity they will see that a democratic form of government is the best possible way for the country as a whole to demonstrate Christian
ethics among the populous. Converting the world for Christ would bring a new world order with free trade worldwide without mass migration. The bible teaches that the greenest field is where we are. We just need to bring it to its maximum
production for him and of course we reap the benefit and he gets the glory.
The Bible says we cannot serve God and mammon (worldly things) or else we will become the slave to one not both. When God is our master and we are his slave (in the technical sense), He
promises to give us the desires of our heart. We just get it all mixed up. We want the worldly things and ask Him to give them to us in return for lip service but He doesn't want lip service. He wants us.
All that we are. Then once we
give ourselves to Him, serving, loving, glorifying and obeying Him, He gives back to us everything we need and more. We get it all wrong. We seek to get riches and power so we can be
the god of our own little world. Then we invite Him to come follow
us around to tell the world we are good guys who just happen to be rich
and powerful. God's way is to bless us with power and wealth when we do not look to do anything for our benefit and glory, but only for His.
Stop and think about it. If everyone you know were a Christian in perfect harmony with God what a different world this would be.
We can win the war on the battlefield but not the hearts and minds of those we defeat. We are in a war of good versus evil. This war in Iraq is a battle for the minds of men. Only we, as
Christians, will be able to win these minds and hearts. If we do not win for God, we lose. We cannot dictate Christianity. It has to be demonstrated and presented where others see
for themselves that our life is a better way than theirs. Only when the
people of the world see this country as a place to live in peace and tranquility will
they say, "this is the life for me."
Where does evangelism start? It starts with me. It starts when my relationship with God is such that others will say, "what makes you so different from
everyone else?" Then I can tell them
that Christ is my Lord (master) and I am his willing servant. I can tell them how he loves me and supplies all my needs and wants.
I can tell them God does this not as a reward for something I seek but as a gift that he wants to give me as an expression of his love for me.
God wants each of us to enter into rest. Rest
comes when he is perfectly satisfied with his relationship to me and I am perfectly satisfied with my personal relationship with him. There is
no struggle to be good when it is Christ living through me. It simply requires my surrender to him. This is the new world order and it begins with me.
Love ya,
Dad
